Seaton Delaval
The village of Seaton Delaval is located in the Blyth Valley district of Northumberland, England. With a population of about 7,000, it is the largest of the five villages in the Seaton Valley and is the site of Seaton Delaval Hall the masterpiece completed by Sir John Vanbrugh in 1727.
The village enjoys excellent local facilities with small but thriving local shops and is also only a few minutes away from the A19 Spine Road, providing easy access to Newcastle to the South and further afield.
Surrounded by open countryside and just a few miles from the sea, the village is a perfect base for family living.
Blyth
The largest town in Northumberland, Blyth combines modern facilities with a beautiful, natural setting and lively seafront attractions. Blyth offers the best of both worlds with its Town Centre featuring the Keel Row covered shopping area with a number of High Street retailers and a local market which is held in the Town Centre three times a week.
South Beach is part of the Heritage Coastline and one of many fine beaches that attract visitors to the area and is around three miles long and extends from the mouth of the River Blyth to Seaton Sluice.
There is a large Leisure Centre within Blyth to cater for everyone, which includes a swimming pool, newly equipped gym, sauna and steam rooms, squash courts and a dance studio. Blyth Golf Club caters for the experts and the enthusiast with a par 72 course with excellent greens and there are several more golf courses within easy reach. Ridley Park in the Town Centre has recently been refurbished featuring fountains and water play facilities and provides a venue for special events.
Blyth has excellent bus and coach links with regular services to Newcastle Town Centre and the towns of Northumberland including historic Morpeth. Blyth is located just off the A189, an ideal location offering easy access to all of the North East with Newcastle Airport just 20 minutes drive away.
